To Surrender Art Show
What does this journey mean with Christ? What is next?
On February 17th I was inspired and called by God to curate this art show that honored him. I came to a space that I wasn't truly familiar with in terms of what God was trying to do. However, most times in your life He will give you direction and not necessarily tell you why. Its the obedience that he wants you to follow through and with that I knew that God could transform and renew the gift he gave me and show himself to be a promise keeper.
Now, this year has just started and as a creator I have loads of ideas I want to do within this new collection. First thing is that I'M GOING ON TOUR!!!!! Yes, this is the first art tour that I'll be doing and dates/ locations will be announced soon. I'm so excited because I know this is affirmation from God and I get to do two things I love. Which is sharing the gospel through the arts and traveling. I love being around people, different communities, and learning more about how to serve God's people. Now that I'm more aligned to who he is, I can walk in this authentically.
Now this road hasn't and still isn't an easy journey. You maybe wondering how can you step out in boldness?!
Three things that helped me in the space of having the AUDACITY in Christ was always bringing him in every space I'm in, praying a lot more, and not bring a lot of people in my secret place. What I mean by the last point is that it's very pivotal to keep the goals and things God wants you to do in private or with a small group of people that can pray for you. He wants you to rely on him only and he also knows that people have their own agendas so most times their intention of you is not for good but evil. So protect what God has given you and when the right time comes to announce it he'll let you know.
One more point is to NOT BE AFRAID OF THE JOURNEY! You need to go through it with God because this is meant to stretch and birth out something new. He wants to grow with you and in you. So, let him do all the work and take the back seat. You're not God but his child. Surrender to that!
